We have been hearing about Xiaomi Mi 12 series rumors for the past few months and now, we have come across our first leak related to the Mi 12X. It will be an affordable flagship version that will succeed this year's Mi 11X. The leak is coming from Kacper Skrzypek (@kacskrz), a senior XDA member, who tweeted about spotting an IMEI certification listing.
The listing revealed that the alleged Mi 12X will sport a 6.28-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display. The panel will also offer up to a 120Hz refresh rate and support HDR10 content. This is similar to the Mi 11X display specs except for being smaller in size. It is said to measure 145.4 x 65.4 mm in dimensions which Skrzypek claimed to be correct.

The tipster further claims that the Mi 12X is codenamed Psyche. The camera module on the phone is said to be headlined by a 50-megapixel sensor. The number of cameras on the device is currently unknown. This is pretty much what is known about the specifications of the phone. As for the availability, the tipster simply mentioned that the phone will not launch in India.
We do know that the smartphone will be a toned-down version of the Mi 12 flagship series. It is expected to get official sometime next month. The rumors so far have suggested that it would be powered by Qualcomm's next-gen flagship processor i.e. Snapdragon 898. There are also speculations that it will be the world's first smartphone to feature a 200-megapixel camera sensor.
