Instagram has finally released a feature that you probably have wondered about why it was not there already. It is now possible to delete images from carousel posts. The announcement was made by Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, in one of the weekly update videos that he shares on Twitter.
Mosseri said photos from carousel posts can be deleted by tapping on the three-dot icon. The next step is to choose the Edit option which will take you to the editing interface. From here, you will be able to browse photos by swiping left and right. Each of these photos will have a recycle bin icon in the top right corner. A user simply needs to tap on this icon to delete the desired photo.

The feature rollout has begun but is limited to iOS users for now. Mosseri did not reveal when it will expand to Android users but as and when that happens, we will make sure to keep you updated. Additionally, he talked about another new feature called Rage Shake available only for American users for now.
Rage Shake is a feature meant to make it easier for Instagram users to report performance issues within the app. It can be used for reporting any kind of issues, be it posts not loading, Stories not working, or Reels not playing. A user will simply need to shake the phone and the reporting feature will pop-up.
