It is time for a new mid-range smartphone i.e. Vivo Y74s that has been unveiled in China. The phone appears to be a slightly different version of the Vivo Y76s launched about a couple of weeks ago. The biggest difference between the two models is that the new one comes in a single configuration variant.
The Vivo Y74s sports a 6.58-inch Full HD+ (2408 x 1080 pixels) display with a dotted notch. Unfortunately, there is no high refresh rate support here and it is locked at the standard 60Hz. The choice of processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 810 that adds 5G connectivity to the device. There is a single 8GB of RAM with support for 4GB of virtual RAM. The internal storage variant is also the only one i.e. 256GB.
The dual rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The selfie camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. There is a 4,100mAh battery to keep the lights on and is supported by 44W Flash Charge fast charging. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will ship with OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.
As for the pricing, the Vivo Y74s will cost CNY 2,299 (about $360) for the single 8GB/256GB configuration model. It is available for pre-orders and will be sold in Galaxy Blue and Starry Night Black color options.
