Samsung Galaxy Note series has reached its end | Report

26 November 2021 0

In the past year or so, we have heard different reports and rumors about Samsung's plans for the Galaxy Note lineup. A next-gen Galaxy Note device was said to be under works fairly recently. A fresh report coming out of South Korea has suggested otherwise as it claims the Galaxy Note series has finally met its end.

The claim has been based on the couple of decisions Samsung has reportedly taken regarding the supply chain. The first one is that no Galaxy Note device is part of the 2022 production roadmap. The second one is that Samsung has decided to stop manufacturing Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra devices by the end of 2021.

It has been about 15 months since the Galaxy Note 20 series went official as the last member of the iconic lineup. It proved to be quite successful as Samsung is said to have produced 3.2 million units this year itself. These are significant figures, especially considering Samsung has already expanded the S Pen experience to the Galaxy S-series. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is the flagship model that supports the S Pen and many of the Galaxy Note features.

The main reason Samsung is bidding farewell to the Galaxy Note lineup is its focus on foldable. The latest Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have proved to be a huge success around the world. The company is said to have set a production target of 13 million for foldable for 2022. In terms of flagship phones, Samsung is currently busy preparing for the Galaxy S22 series which is rumored to happen during early February.
