WhatsApp is primarily a texting app but also supports different modes of conversations including voice calling, video calling, and audio messages. The last one is a widely used mode of connecting with contacts as a quick alternative to typing text, especially long ones. It is now getting better with the latest update announced by the company.
WhatsApp audio messages can now be previewed before sending them. This will allow users to check if a particular audio message is worth sending or not. It will help users in cross-checking whether their voice is completely understandable to others and to ensure that there is nothing inappropriate about the message.
To preview an audio message, a user will simply need to tap and hold the microphone icon and slide up. This will take you to the hands-free recording interface. You can then start speaking to record the audio message and once you are done, tap the Stop button to end recording. Now, you only need to tap the Play button to preview the message to make sure the clip is as intended.

If you are satisfied with the recording, tap the Send button to share the audio message. You can tap the trash icon to delete the audio message and record again if something is unwanted. The ability to preview voice notes on WhatsApp is available for both individual and group chats. The feature was under testing for the past few weeks and is now making its way to everyone on Android and iOS.
