Vivo Y32 goes official in China with SD 680, dual rear cameras

20 December 2021 0

Vivo has launched its newest budget Y-series smartphone Vivo Y32 in China. The phone comes with entry-level specifications with dual rear cameras, virtual RAM, and a big battery. The virtual RAM expansion feature takes a portion of the storage and utilizes it as RAM for better multi-tasking whenever needed.

The Vivo Y55s 5G sports a 6.51-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) display with a dotted notch. Unfortunately, there is no high refresh rate support here and it is locked at the standard 60Hz. The choice of processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 with Adreno 610 GPU. There is a single 8GB of RAM available with 128GB internal storage. It does come with a virtual RAM expansion feature that offers 4GB of virtual RAM to the user.

The dual rear camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. There is a 5,000mAh battery to keep the lights on and is supported by 18W Flash Charge fast charging. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will ship with OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.
As for the pricing, the Vivo Y32 will cost CNY 1,399 (about $220) for the single 8GB/128GB configuration model. It will be sold in Foggy Night and Harumi Blue color options. There are currently no words on when it will go on sale.
