22 December 2021 0

iQOO has announced a new U-series smartphone named iQOO U5 5G. It is the third phone release by the brand in the last 48 hours as it also launched iQOO Neo 5S and iQOO Neo 5 SE yesterday. These were premium devices but the newest one is a mid-range 5G smartphone for those who do not want to spend a lot for 5G connectivity.

The iQOO U5 5G sports a 6.58-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a dotted notch and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor coupled with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM. All three configuration variants have the same 128GB onboard storage with support for microSD cards.

There is a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor. There is a 5,000mAh battery to keep the lights on and is supported by 18W fast charging. It will boot iQOO UI 1.0 based on Android 11 out of the box. Other features include a fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port.

iQOO is yet to reveal iQOO U5 5G pricing details but the phone has been listed on the official website and JD.com online retailer. It will go on pre-orders starting December 24th in China. The color options include Dark Black, Magic Blue, and Silver White.
