Honor, a former sub-brand of Huawei, is preparing for the launch of its first-ever foldable smartphone. It has shared the first official teaser for the phone named Honor Magic V. The teaser image was shared by the company's social media handles, specifically Weibo and Twitter accounts.
The teaser does not share any details but offers a glimpse of the Magic V. The foldable will have an inward folding mechanism which also explains "V" in the name. It is accompanied by the tweet, "Unfold all the potential. This is HONOR’s first foldable flagship phone, the #HONORMagicV".
We first heard about Honor's foldable smartphone about five months ago. It was claimed to sport an 8-inch primary display and a 6.5-inch secondary display. It is also reported that the company has opted for BOE and Visionox to be its display panel suppliers. The foldable will be a premium flagship and could be powered by the Qualcomm Snap 8 Gen 1 processor.
As and when the Magic V will launch, Honor will become the newest Chinese smartphone maker with a foldable in its product catalog. Oppo unveiled its first-ever foldable Find N just last week. We have also heard of rumors related to Xiaomi and Vivo working on their respective foldable devices.
