Oppo has launched the Reno 7 5G New Year Edition in China. It is a special version of the standard Reno 7 5G that went official just last month. The only difference between the two versions is the paint job. The special edition arrives in a Red Velvet color and also has a Tiger logo on the back.
The reason behind adding a Tiger logo on the phone's back panel is that as per the Chinese zodiac, 2022 is the Year of the Tiger. It is good to know that Oppo has priced the special edition as the standard model. It means you can get the 8GB/128GB variant for CNY 2,699 and the 8GB/256GB model for CNY 2,999. The high-end 12GB/256GB model will cost you CNY 3,299.
The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate and has a punch-hole in the top left corner. The choice of processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 paired with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. There is a total of three configuration options with 128GB and 256GB onboard storage.
The phone has three cameras on the back headlined by a 64-megapixel sensor. The other two cameras include an 8-megapixel ultrawide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera is a 32-megapixel sensor housed within the punch-hole. There is a 4,500mAh battery to keep the lights on and is supported by 60W Flash Charge fast charging. The phone will boot ColorOS 12 based on Android 11.
