It has been over a year since Xiaomi has been releasing 120W fast charging smartphones even though only a handful of models. It is now ready to add a new model to the catalog. The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will be the first 120W fast-charging smartphone in India as it will launch on January 6th.
The "Hypercharge" in the name signifies the super-fast charging speed that the phone will support. Xiaomi's whole marketing campaign for the phone is around the charging speed. It claims that the phone will be able to go from 0 to 100% within just 15 minutes. It means even if you are running late somewhere and do not have enough juice on the phone, all you need is a few minutes at hand to get going for the day.
Sandeep Sharma, Senior Marketing Manager at Xiaomi India, has further revealed that the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will sport a display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel will also have 1200 nits of brightness that would make it apt for playing HDR content. There are also speculations that it will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity processor.
It is believed that the Hypercharge will be a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. If that is true, other highlighting features include a 108-megapixel primary camera, a centered punch-hole camera, and the newest MIUI version. The launch is about 10 days away and if the brand shares more details, we will keep you posted.
