Samsung has been very active when it comes to rolling out One UI 4 based on the Android 12 update. It did run into some performance-related issues with the stable build but resumed the rollout yesterday. Now, it is taking the rollout speed to another level as it has started making it available for previous generation devices including tablets.
It is now the turn of Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 users to get a taste of the new Android version. The rollout covers all models in the lineup i.e. Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and even the Galaxy S20 FE. If we talk about the phablet, it is available for both Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Plus. It is currently reported to be available only in Switzerland but should make its way to other markets in the coming weeks.
In terms of tablets, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ have received the Android 12 update. The firmware version is T870BXXU2CULC and T976BXXU2CULC respectively. The good thing is that it also upgrades the security patch level to December 2021. The rollout is happening in Austria, Baltic countries, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Nordic Countries, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Spain, and Switzerland.
It is an over-the-air update for all the aforementioned devices and should become available anytime soon. You can also check for the update manually by visiting Settings > Software update on your device.
