It was last week when Honor officially teased its first-ever foldable phone named Magic V. It did not reveal much about the phone but we have started to see leaks coming up. The latest leak is coming from the usually reliable Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station who has talked about some of the specifications of the upcoming foldable.
The first thing to note is that the Magic V is said to be powered by the Snap 8 Gen 1 processor. This is the current-gen flagship processor by Qualcomm that was announced earlier this month. It made its commercial debut with the Moto Edge X30 and was most recently seen in the Xiaomi 12 series.
Both display panels on the foldable will be high refresh rate ones. The outer display is said to support up to 90Hz refresh rate and the inner display offers up to 120Hz refresh rate. Both panels will also have a punch-hole for selfie camera sensors. This is a good thing for those who prefer high refresh rate panels. There will be a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50-megapixel sensor.
The foldable is further said to boot Android 12 out of the box. The exact battery capacity is unknown but it will support 66W fast charging to help users get a quick recharge. Lastly, all of these specs details are based on a Magic V prototype and things can change by the time it launches.
