Vivo has launched the Vivo V23 series featuring Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro in India. Both of these are upper mid-range devices which mean there are some interesting specs and features to talk about. The main highlight is the Fluorite AG Glass back on the Gold color variant. It is said to change color when exposed to direct sunlight for about five minutes.
The Vivo V23 Pro sports a 6.56-inch Full HD+ (2376 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED curved display. It has a wider notch on the front that houses dual selfie cameras: 50-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.28 aperture. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor coupled with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. The onboard storage options include 128GB and 256GB.
The triple rear camera module includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.88 aperture. It also has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 4,300mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging. The phone will boot Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12. It also has a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band WiFi, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Vivo V23 Pro pricing:
- 8GB/128GB for INR 38,990 (about $520)
- 12GB/256GB for INR 43,990 (about $590)
The Vivo V23 has a slightly smaller 6.44-inch notched display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor but with the same configuration options as the Pro model. The camera department is also unchanged except for the 64-megapixel primary sensor on the back panel.
The battery capacity is 4,200mAh with the same 44W fast charging tech. Other features and specs are exactly the same. Vivo has priced the Vivo Y23 at INR 29,990 (about $400) and INR 34,990 (about $470) for 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants respectively.
