Samsung has spent the past few months updating its premium devices to Android 12. It is now shifting focus to the mid-range segment as Galaxy A-series phones have now started getting the major update. As per SamMobile, Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52 are the two smartphones that are receiving the much-awaited upgrade.
It is One UI 4.0 update that brings all the new Android 12 features as well as tweaks done by Samsung itself. The build number of the update for the Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52 is A725FXXU4BULA and A525FXXU4BUL8 respectively. This suggests that the update is essentially the same for both phones. There is also December 2021 security patch which is not the latest but is still a pretty recent one.
The update rollout is over-the-air (OTA) and you should see an update notification anytime soon. It can also be checked manually by visiting the Software Update section within system settings. As we say all the time, it is recommended that your phone is connected to WiFi before you start downloading. The battery should also be either at least 50% charged or plugged in prior to the installation.
