Oppo has launched the Oppo A36 budget smartphone in China. It is the newest member of the Oppo A-series which is become quite popular among buyers with a tight budget. The phone offers a high refresh rate display, dual rear cameras, a long-lasting battery life, and a good performance at affordable pricing.
The Oppo A36 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera housed inside the punch-hole on the top left corner. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and is available in a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It also supports storage expansion via microSD cards.
The dual-camera setup on the back includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is a 5,000mAh battery to keep the lights on but it supports only 10W charging. The phone will boot ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
As for the pricing, the Oppo A36 will cost you CNY 1,499 (about $235) for the sole 8GB/256GB model. This is an introductory offer after which the phone will be available for CNY 1,599 (about $250). It is available in Black and Blue color options.
