12 January 2022 0

Microsoft has finally announced Surface Go 3 with optional LTE connectivity. This is the variant that was missing during the global launch of the affordable convertible in September 2021. It debuted with a WiFi-only model but now, it can be purchased with LTE support as well.

The Surface Go 3 with LTE is available in a new Matte Black color option. It is available with both Intel Pentium 6500Y and Intel Core i3 configuration options. The pricing for the two options is $549.99 and $729.99 respectively. Microsoft has also launched a matching Black-colored Type Cover for $99.99.

In terms of technical specifications, the new LTE Surface Go 3 is exactly the same as the standard model. There is a 10.5-inch Full HD PixelSense Display with touchscreen input support. It is available with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. The connectivity options include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Surface Connect Port, Surface Type Cover Port, and a microSD card slot.

There is an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with 1080p video recording on both sensors. It features dual far-field Studio Mics and 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio. The convertible is claimed to last for up to 10.5 hours under typical usage on LTE and for up to 11 hours on WiFi. It will ship with Windows 11 Home as the chosen operating system.
