It has just been a little over a month since Oppo introduced its first-ever foldable smartphone Find N. It is a phone that folds and unfolds like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. The company is now reported to be working on a new foldable phone that has a flip design like the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The report is coming from 91Mobiles citing details shared by tipster Mukul Sharma aka @stufflistings. The alleged foldable will be the first Oppo clamshell foldable phone in the market. The name of the phone is unknown but is claimed to be part of the Oppo Find series. This is not surprising as we have seen Oppo release its innovative products under the Find branding.
It is added that the Oppo flip foldable will cost a lot cheaper than Samsung's offering i.e. Galaxy Z Flip 3. Its only foldable starts at $1,200 which makes it safe to assume that the flip version will cost under $1,000. The launch is expected to happen sometime during Q3 2022 which is by the end of September 2022.
There are speculations that the company has begun working on a Find N successor as well. The report does not mention what changes we can expect from the new version and when it will launch. Since the phone itself launched a month ago, it is unlikely we will see the successor arrive before the end of this year.
