Oppo's next-gen Android flagship Find X5 Pro has started to make more frequent rounds of the rumor mill. A couple of live photos of the phone were leaked last month and now, it is time for a new leak that reveals everything about the specifications and design. The leak is coming from WinFuture.de, a German publication with a reliable track record.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is set to be a premium flagship with pricing on the expensive side. It is claimed to cost over EUR 1,200 (about $1,372) in the European region for the top-end configuration. The leaked renders show that the product design is identical to last year's Find X3 Pro. It means we will see a curved display panel with a punch-hole in the top left corner. The camera module design is also unchanged.
The biggest difference is the "Hasselblad" branding on the back panel to reflect the collaboration between the two parties. It will be the first Oppo smartphone to come with a Hasselblad tune-up. This is not exactly surprising as Oppo's sibling company OnePlus already has a deal in place with the Swedish camera company.
The Find X5 Pro is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ (3216 x 1440 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display. It will be a 10-bit panel with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and 526ppi pixel density. The choice of processor will be Qualcomm's Snap 8 Gen 1 with Adreno 730 GPU which is not a surprise. There will be 12GB of RAM with 256GB storage which is said to be the only model to be available in Europe. We can expect more configurations in other markets.
The camera department has a triple camera setup on the back. It is reported to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is said to be a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
The battery capacity is tipped to be 5,000mAh with support for 80W fast charging. Other noteworthy features will include an under-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, facial recognition, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, and USB OTG support. The phone will boot ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. It is unknown when we will see the Oppo Find X5 Pro launch but speculations suggest an announcement towards the end of this month.
