Google's rumored foldable device Pixel Notepad is claimed to launch during Q4 2022. The tip is coming from Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) who tweeted the latest information. He added that the foldable now appears to be back on track for production and release.
Young believes that Google will begin panel production for the Pixel Notepad in the third quarter. The official launch of the foldable phone will take place in the next quarter which will be the last quarter of the year. It is also the time when Apple reveals new iPhone models which could become an interesting competition.
An older report claimed Google canceled Pixel foldable plans which were later denied by Jon Prosser, a well-known and reliable tipster. He maintained his stand on the situation while replying to Young's tweet about the Q4 launch. Young replied to it by saying that at least parts orders were canceled and nevertheless, the official launch has is now delayed by 12 months.
Well, parts orders were cancelled. But, yes, it will launch 12 months later than expected.— Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) February 14, 2022
This is in line with a few other reports that have talked about Q4 2022 or Q1 2023 launch timeline. A report also revealed that Pixel Notepad will cost $1,400 in the United States. The pricing will undercut the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 by a significant $400 mark. This is something that may help Google sell more than expected units of the phone.
