Twitter has added support for Paytm as the new payment gateway option in India for sending tips. This will allow Indian users to support their favorite creators on the platform by sending them tips via Paytm. This is the second payment option after Razorpay that has been added by keeping the Indian market in mind.
Paytm is one of the biggest payments apps in the country. It supports making payments through a wide range of options including UPI, credit cards, debit cards, wallets, and net banking. The integration with Twitter will allow users to choose their preferred payment method to send tips. It will also be a lot easier and more convenient for a huge number of users as not everyone has access to cryptocurrencies, Patreon, or even Razorpay.
Now, send & receive Tips on @TwitterIndia with Paytm!

A user will simply need to tap on the Tips icon next to the follow button on the creator's profile and choose Paytm. Twitter will then redirect them to the Paytm app for completing the transaction and sending the tip. It will not be taking any cut from tips sent through Paytm and the creator will get to keep the whole amount.
As for creators, they can add Paytm to their profile the same way any other tip option is added. Visit the Edit Profile option through Twitter's Android or iOS application. Tap on the Tips option and then select Enable Tips. It will then ask you to choose preferred payment methods where you will see different options including Paytm.
