Oppo has globally debuted its new Find X5 series of smartphones. It primarily includes Find X5 and Find X5 Pro but also has an affordable version, the Find X5 Lite. It is the first smartphone launch from Oppo that comes with Hasselblad collaboration for tuning up camera performance. It also features a new dedicated chip called MariSilicon X.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro sports a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ (3216 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED LTPO punch-hole display with 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel offers the 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3/sRGB color gamut, 525ppi pixel density, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snap 8 Gen 1 processor with Adreno 730 GPU. There is a single configuration of 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
The phone has triple cameras on the back panel. These include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The phone has a 32-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture.
It is loaded with a dedicated 6nm chip called MariSilicon X to deliver night videography improvements. It is essentially a combination of NPU, ISP, and memory. Oppo claims it will help users "capture videos at night that are bright, rich in detail and awash in captivating colors". It further helps with AI noise reduction and enables 4K Ultra Night Video mode. This particular mode can be used with both 50-megapixel sensors.
There is a 5,000mAh battery to keep the lights on. It is supported by 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone will boot ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12. It has an under-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It will be sold in Ceramic White and Glaze Black color options.
Oppo has priced the Find X5 Pro at EUR 1,299 for the sole 12GB/256GB model. The phone will be available for purchase starting March 14th but pre-orders are already live.
The Oppo Find X5 features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) OLED display with the same features as the Pro model. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with Adreno 660 GPU. There is 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The camera department is identical to the Pro version.
The phone comes with a 4,800mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. All other features are the same as the Pro model except that it does not have an IP rating. It will also be sold in Black and White colors. The Find X5 will cost you EUR 999 for the 8GB/256GB model. It can be pre-ordered now and will go on sale from March 14th.
Oppo is yet to reveal Find X5 Lite pricing and availability details.
