Huawei has introduced two new laptops named MateBook X Pro (2022) and MateBook E at MWC 2022. The first one is a high-end ultrabook and the second one is a 2-in-1 convertible. These are the latest iterations of the products that were also available last year. There are also noteworthy improvements that make it worth the upgrade.
The MateBook X Pro (2022) sports a 14.2-inch LTPS touchscreen display with 3120 x 2080 pixels resolution. The panel offers a 90Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of peak brightness, and a 92.5% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1195G7 processor with Intel's Iris Xe graphics. There is 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 1TB SSD storage space.
The top bezel of the laptop is just 6mm thick and houses an HD webcam. The connectivity options include four USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.1. It features a backlit chiclet keyboard with 1.5mm key travel. The fingerprint scanner is integrated with the power button. It will come bundled with a 90W USB Type-C power adapter. It will boot Windows 11 out of the box.
Huawei has priced at EUR 1,899 for the sole 16GB/1TB configuration.
The MateBook E (2022) is a 2-in-1 convertible featuring a 12.6-inch OLED touchscreen display panel with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. It is available in 11th Gen Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors along with Intel Iris Xe and Intel UHD graphics. There is 8GB/16GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options.
The connectivity options include a USB Type-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The battery capacity is 42Wh and in terms of software experience, it will offer a choice between Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Home S mode.
