Google seems to be closer than ever to announce its next smartphone Pixel 6a and its first-ever smartwatch Pixel Watch. This is based on the fresh leak shared by Android Police citing information obtained through one of its sources. The two upcoming products have reportedly been spotted in the back-end inventory system of an unnamed US carrier.
The alleged Pixel 6a has appeared in the database with the codename Bluejay. This is the same as what we have heard in previous reports. The phone is said to become available in White, Black, and Green color options. The storage capacity is tipped to be 128GB for all three colors. It is unknown whether it will be the only storage option or we will get to see more.
As for the Pixel Watch, its codename is listed as Rohan which is again in line with other leaks. Its color options are Gold, Black, and Gray. The smartwatch will have 32GB storage which is twice what Samsung's Galaxy Watch 4 offers. In comparison to the Apple Watch, the storage space is exactly the same. One interesting bit of information is that the database in question here is of a US carrier that does not sell non-cellular smartwatches. This suggests that Pixel Watch may have eSIM support as well.
The report does not offer any details about the pricing and availability of any of the two products. There are speculations that we may hear Google talk about the products at this year's Google I/O conference. Nevertheless, we will keep you posted as more details will emerge.
