04 March 2022 0

Just a couple of days after an extensive leak, Motorola has officially unveiled the Moto G22 in Europe. It is the newest member of the Moto G-series and brings decent specifications considering the pricing. The phone has a high refresh rate display and a big capacity battery that should last long without asking for a refill.

The Moto G22 sports a 6.53-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) LCD display. The panel has a centered punch-hole and support for a 90Hz refresh rate. The choice of processor is MediaTek's Helio G37 along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is available in a single configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. There is microSD card support if you want more space.

The back panel has a unique-looking quad-camera module headlined by a 50-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera on the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture housed inside the punch-hole.

The battery capacity is 5,000mAh and comes with 15W fast charging. It further has Bluetooth 5.2, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and 4G LTE support. The phone will ship with Android 12 along with My UX gestures.

The Moto G22 is priced at EUR 169.99 for the sole 4GB/64GB variant. Motorola has plans to release the phone in Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, and India in the coming weeks. It is available in Cosmic Black, Pearl White, an Iceberg Blue color options.
