Honor has announced a new mid-range 5G smartphone Honor X9 5G in Malaysia. It is the latest member of the X-series and joins the Honor X8 unveiled a couple of weeks ago. The phone has virtual RAM functionality that is becoming more and more popular among budget and mid-range phones.
The Honor X9 5G sports a 6.81-inch Full HD+ (2388 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with a centered punch-hole and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor with Adreno 619 GPU. The phone is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. It also has support for virtual RAM expansion where up to 2GB of storage can be utilized as virtual RAM.
The phone has a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The other two cameras include a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.45 aperture for video calls and selfies.
The whole package is powered by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 66W SuperCharge fast charging. The phone will ship with Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11. The phone will be available in Ocean Blue, Midnight Black, and Titanium Silver color options. Its pricing and availability details are currently unknown.
