OnePlus seems to be gearing up for the release of its first foldable phone. A new report from Pricebaba cites information shared by well-known tipster Yogesh Brar. It claims that the first OnePlus foldable phone will simply be a copy of the Oppo Find N, a foldable that debuted in China about four months ago.
The report does not offer any other details about the under-development foldable from OnePlus. Even the possible release date is unknown. Another tipster Max Jambor aka @MaxJmb has corroborated the report claiming that the Chinese smartphone maker is indeed working on a foldable smartphone. However, he adds that one should not expect it to launch anytime soon.

The claim of OnePlus copying Oppo's approach is not exactly to be surprised about. Both these companies are owned by the same parent company BBK Electronics. These two have shared hardware with each other many times in the past as well. OnePlus has released many of its phones that have been rebranded Oppo devices.
If we talk about the Oppo Find N, it is a premium foldable device with an inward folding mechanism. There is a 7.1-inch AMOLED display on the inside and a 5.5-inch AMOLED display on the outside. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Its hinge is claimed to have been tested for over 200,000 folds and can be folded at any angle between 50-degree and 120-degree.
