OnePlus has officially debuted the Nord N20 5G in the United States. It is the latest Nord-series phone to become available in the west, a lineup that has already become a hit in India. It is a noticeable upgrade over the Nord N200 5G that launched on T-Mobile last year. Interestingly, the latest model is also exclusive to T-Mobile for the time being.
The OnePlus Nord N20 5G sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole in the top left corner. The panel is limited to the standard 60Hz refresh rate which the company said it had to do in order to offer AMOLED. It says the phone would have arrived with an IPS LCD panel if they had opted for a 90Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. There is 128GB of onboard storage with support for microSD cards. It is the only configuration option available with the smartphone. There is a triple camera setup on the back including a 64-megapixel primary sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors (monochrome + macro).
The front camera on the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor. The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging. It will boot OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11, an outdated software experience considering Android 12 has been out for over half a year. Other features include a USB Type-C port, in-display fingerprint scanner, and 5G connectivity.
OnePlus has priced the Nord N20 5G at $282 for the sole 6GB/128GB model. It will be sold via T-Mobile starting April 28th in the United States. It can also be grabbed for free if you add a line via 24 months of bill credits. The unlocked variant of the phone will become available later this year through Amazon, Best Buy, and more.
