22 April 2022 0

OnePlus has launched a new affordable mid-range smartphone named OnePlus Ace in China. It is the first phone in this new lineup that will be aimed at budget buyers. The phone packs in a Dimesnity chipset, super-fast charging speed, and a big enough battery capacity. It is the same phone that is expected to debut as the OnePlus 10R in India next week.

The OnePlus Ace sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2412 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 950 nits of peak brightness. The choice of processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max coupled with 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The phone is available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage options.

The back panel has a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with f/1.88 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture and housed inside the punch-hole.

The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 150W Super Flash Charge fast charging support. It is claimed to charge up to 50% within just 5 minutes. OnePlus further says that it will be able to retain up to 80% battery health after 1,600 power cycles or about four years. The phone will boot ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.

The OnePlus Ace starts at CNY 2,499 (about $388) which is for the 8GB/128GB model and double the storage for CNY 2,699 (about $420). If you are interested in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB models, the cost for these is set at CNY 2,999 (about $465) and CNY 3,499 (about $543) respectively.
