The long wait for the OnePlus Nord 2 Android 12 update is finally over as the first open beta build is here. The announcement was made via the official OnePlus forums. It is OxygenOS 12 update, the same one which is heavily inspired by Oppo's ColorOS and has made headlines for wrong reasons more than good ones.
This is an open beta build which means there will likely be performance issues and unknown bugs. This is the reason we would suggest you do not install it on your primary device just yet. OnePlus has already listed a couple of known issues. It says you might be unable to use Face Unlock in the dark after turning on Brighten screen in dim light through Settings. Fornite is also said to crash while playing the game.
OnePlus has further advised OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition users to skip installing the beta build. This is because some of the Pac-Man features are known to disappear after the update. It says these users will be able to experience the new software experience in later build releases.
