OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G launches with SD695, 5000mAh battery

It is time for a new OnePlus Nord series mid-range smartphone. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is an India-first smartphone that is an affordable version of the Nord CE 2 5G. There are a few differences in specifications here and there which are expected considering the price difference. It is unknown when the phone will arrive in markets other than India.

The Nord CE 2 Lite 5G sports a 6.59-inch Full HD+ (2942 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with a punch-hole. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, sRGB and Display P3 color gamut, and 401ppi pixel density. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor with Adreno 619 GPU. The phone has 6GB and 8GB RAM options paired with the same 128GB onboard storage.

The triple rear camera setup features a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth-assist sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and attending video calls.

The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. The phone will boot OxygenOS based on Android 12. Other noteworthy features include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.2, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Nord CE 2 5G Lite will cost you INR 19,999 (about $262) for the 6GB/128GB base model. The higher variant i.e. 8GB/128GB model is priced at INR 21,999 (about $288). The available color options include Black Dusk and Blue Tide.
