Sony's latest mid-range Android smartphone Xperia 10 IV has been announced. It went official alongside the flagship Xperia 1 IV that brings noteworthy camera capabilities. The mid-ranger is a 5G capable phone and in fact, it is claimed to be the lightest 5G smartphone in the world as it weighs just 161 grams.
The Xperia 10 IV sports a 6-inch Full HD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, 21:9 aspect ratio, and 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The storage option is 128GB along with microSD card support.
The back panel has three cameras featuring a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. Other features include a USB Type-C port, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G connectivity, IP65/IP68 rating, and NFC. The phone will ship with Android 12. It will be sold in Black, Mint, White, and Lavender color variants. Sony has priced the Xperia 10 IV at EUR 499 for the sole 6GB/128GB configuration.
