Sony has launched a new budget smartphone Xperia Ace III aka Xperia Ace 3 in Japan. This is the third smartphone release from the company after the Xperia 1 IV and Xperia 10 IV. The phone is a direct successor to last year's Xperia Ace 2 which remained a Japan exclusive release.
The Xperia Ace 3 sports a 5.5-inch HD+ notched display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It is available in a single storage option of 64GB but there is support for microSD cards if storage expansion is needed.
The phone has a single rear camera which is a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. On the front, you can see a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery and it will boot Android 12. Other features include a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and LDAC codec support.
The Xperia Ace 3 is priced at JPY 34,408 (about $267) for the sole 4GB/64GB model. It is already up for pre-orders but sales will begin sometime in mid-June. The available color options include Black, Grey, Blue, and Brick Orange.
