31 May 2022 0

Vivo has launched a new affordable flagship smartphone iQOO Neo 6 5G in India. It is the same phone that debuted in China last month but comes with a few differences. The biggest difference is the choice of the processor which is flagship-level but is relatively a downgrade as compared to the Chinese variant.

The iQOO Neo 6 5G sports a 6.6-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED E4 punch-hole display. The panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and 1300 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. There are multiple configuration variants featuring up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Both models feature UFS 3.1 storage which should deliver high-speed data read and write speeds.

The triple rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.89 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture. As for the front camera, it has a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture housed within the punch-hole for taking selfies and attending video calls.

The smartphone has a 4,700mAh battery with 80W Flash Charge fast charging support. In terms of software, it will be running Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. There is also an in-display fingerprint scanner available on the smartphone. It is said to receive two years of software upgrades and three years of security patches.

The iQOO Neo 6 5G is priced at INR 29,999 (about $386) for the 8GB/128GB variant. There is another 12GB/256GB variant that will cost you INR 33,999 (about $438). The available color options include Cyber Rage and Dark Nova.
