Motorola is reportedly working on two new smartphones named Moto Edge (2022) and Moto G Go. These two phones are aimed at a completely different set of users. The first one will be an upper mid-range device and the newest member of the Edge series. The second one will be a budget offering with entry-level specifications and features.
Starting with the Moto Edge (2022), it is reported to be codenamed Dubai+ and has now surfaced in a leak from 91Mobiles in collaboration with tipster @OnLeaks. It is shown with a bezel-less display featuring a punch-hole in the center. The phone has a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The back panel can be seen with a triple rear camera setup where camera sensors are aligned vertically. One can also spot the Motorola logo in the center and the company name at the bottom.
The rumored spec sheet of the Motorola Edge (2022) is listed with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The choice of processor is said to be the MediaTek Dimensity MT6879. There will be multiple configuration variants featuring up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. The phone will have triple cameras featuring a 50-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor. The front camera will be a 32-megapixel sensor. There are no words on the phone's pricing and launch date yet.
The leak about the alleged Moto G Go is coming from a tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore aka @Sudhanshu1414. The leaked image shows the budget phone with a notched display. There are noticeable bezels on the top and bottom of the smartphone. The image in question here seems to be taken from the device's user manual.
The phone is shown with a dual rear camera setup including a 13-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor. The front camera is listed to be a 5-megapixel sensor and housed inside the notch. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the back which is present at the same place where the Motorola branding is.
