When we talk about iPhone cameras, we refer to the rear camera setup more often than not. The front camera rarely gets enough attention from both the fans and the company. As per a new leak, this year will be different as Apple is said to be planning the biggest iPhone selfie camera upgrade in a long time.
Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable market analyst and Apple tipster, has tweeted that Apple has opted for a 6P autofocusing lens for the iPhone 14 front camera. This particular camera sensor will be produced by Genius. There is a good chance that we will see the same selfie camera on all four iPhone 14 series models i.e. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

It will be the first time users will get iPhone front camera with autofocus support. Apple has opted for fixed focus until now which is not an ideal experience. This is claimed to improve both photo and video experience significantly. The component suppliers for this new camera sensor include Genius and Largan for lenses, Sony for sensors, and Alps and Luxshare for the focus system.
The second biggest change will be the upgrade from a 5P lens to a 6P lens with the iPhone 14. It is further said to have f/1.9 aperture which is another boost. All in all, iPhone 14 users will have a lot of new things to look forward to when it comes to using the front camera and clicking selfies.
