Oppo has launched a new Reno-series smartphone Reno 7A in Japan. It is a phone packed with mid-range specifications which is what is expected from a Reno device. Some of the key highlights include a high refresh rate panel, a bigger battery, and fast charging support for quick refueling.
The Reno 7A sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a punch-hole in the top left corner. The panel offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 409ppi pixel density. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. There is a single 128GB onboard storage available with the smartphone.
The back panel has a triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the device is a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture housed within the punch-hole.
The battery capacity of the phone is 4,500mAh along with 18W fast charging. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC 5. It will boot ColorOS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box. Oppo has priced the Reno 7A at JPY 45,800 (about $344) for the sole 6GB/128GB variant. It will go on sale starting June 30th with an option to choose from Starry Black and Dream Blue color options.
