Telegram Premium launches with 4GB file uploads and other exclusive features

20 June 2022 0

As expected, Telegram has officially launched paid subscription called Telegram Premium. It comes with a number of exclusive features that will be available for all paying members. The announcement says it will be a way for users to support Telegram's development which will eventually help the team to preserve the app's free access.

Telegram Premium users will have double the limit on almost everything. They will be able to join up to 1000 groups and channels, create up to 20 chat folders with up to 200 chats each, pin up to 10 chats, save up to 10 favorite stickers, and add a fourth Telegram account to any app. They can share files up to 4GB in size and will get faster download speeds.

Premium users will be able to have longer bios including links. They will have more characters to use while adding captions to media files. They can now set up to 400 favorite GIFs and reserve up to 20 public t.me links. There is voice-to-text support for voice messages for times when you do not feel like listening to a voice message.

They will have unique reactions and stickers with full-screen animations that can be played even by free users. Telegram Premium will let users choose their preferred chat folder as the default folder. It will be the folder that will appear whenever the app will launch. Profile videos will have an animation for users who are paid subscribers. All members will also have a special badge next to their names that will let others know that they are Premium users.

Telegram has not mentioned Telegram Premium pricing plans in the official blog post. However, reports speculate that it will be between $4.99 and $5.99 per month. We will keep you updated as and when we will have the official price details.
