Xiaomi's current-gen Android flagship series features Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. It went official during the first quarter of the year and now, the company is ready to bring another lineup i.e. Xiaomi 12S. It is reported to feature two models Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro. The Pro model will further have two variants powered by different chipsets.
The leaked information is shared by Mukul Sharma aka @StuffListings, a well-known tipster. The Xiaomi 12S is said to be available in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB configuration options. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snap 8+ Gen 1 processor which is an improved version of the Snap 8 Gen 1.
The Xiaomi 12S Pro will reportedly have two different versions. One of these will be powered by the Snap 8+ Gen 1 processor. It will have the same configuration options as the vanilla 12S. It means there will be 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. This version will also have 120W fast charging but the battery capacity is unknown.
The second version of the phone will feature MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. It will only have two configurations: 8GB RAM with 256GB and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. This is pretty much what is known about Xiaomi's upcoming new Android flagship series. It is believed that an official launch is just around the corner but a specific launch date is unknown.
