Huawei has launched two new smartphones as part of the Nova 10 series. These include the standard Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro which are now available in China. Both of these are 4G LTE capable smartphones which could be disappointing for those interested in a 5G device. The company also took the opportunity to take wraps off the NFC-enabled tracker called Huawei Tag.
The Huawei Nova 10 is priced at CNY 2,699 (about $403) for the 128GB model and CNY 2,999 (about $448) for the 256GB model. It will be sold in Green, Silver, Violet, and Black color options.
The Huawei Nova 10 Pro will cost CNY 3,699 (about $553) for the base model with 128GB storage. If someone is interested in the 256GB model, they will have to shell out CNY 3,999 (about $598).
Huawei is the newest brand to announce its NFC-enabled item tracker called Huawei Tag. It is similar to Apple's AirTag and Samsung's SmartThings Tracker. The newest offering will work only with HarmonyOS 2.0 devices and will rely on Huawei's "Find" network for tracking tagged objects. It features IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and is powered by a single CR2032 battery.
The tag is capable of playing a sound up to 92dB which will make it easier to locate the lost item. The Huawei Tag is priced at CNY 99 (about $15) and is available only in White color. However, you can get a bundle of four tags for CNY 299 (about $45).
