Asus has launched its latest Android gaming smartphones ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. Both phones are identical in specifications and features except for the difference in RAM and storage configuration. The Pro variant also has a customizable secondary display on the back. There are cooling improvements on the latest generation and a new external cooling fan accessory.
The ROG Phone 6 series feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ (2448 x 1080 pixels) Samsung AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. The panel also offers 23ms touch latency, 1200 nits of peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. There is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with Adreno 730 GPU available on smartphones. The configuration options include up to 18GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage depending on what model you get.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera on the phone is a 12-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and attending video calls. The phones feature GameCool 6 cooling system for better heat dissipation and are claimed to reduce the temperature by 10 degrees. It also has a dedicated accessory called AeroActive Cooler 6 for controlling heat during prolonged gaming sessions.
The whole package is powered by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. However, only a 30W fast charger will be bundled with the smartphone. In terms of software experience, it will ship with ROG UI based on Android 12. The ROG Phone 6 is priced at INR 71,999 for the sole 12GB/256GB variant. It will be sold in Phantom Black and Storm White colors. As for the ROG Phone 6 Pro, it will cost INR 89,999 for the sole 18GB/512GB configuration and Phantom Black color.
