11 July 2022 1

ZTE has unveiled a new Blade-series mid-range smartphone Blade V40 Pro in Mexico. It is a phone packed with decent specs with a special focus on the display and battery capacity. It also has fast charging support to help users get a quick refill, especially during emergency usage.

The ZTE Blade V40 Pro sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a punch-hole. It supports 8-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 395ppi pixel density. The choice of processor is Unisoc's T618 which is coupled with 6GB of RAM. There is 128GB onboard storage which is the only storage option available with the phone.

The triple camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. It has a 16-megapixel camera on the front along with AI-assisted facial beauty filters. The whole package is powered by a 5,100mAh battery and is supported by 65W fast charging. The phone will ship with Android 11 as the software experience.

As for the pricing, the ZTE Blade V40 Pro will cost you MXN 7,499 (about $364) for the sole 6GB/128GB configuration. It will be sold in Dark Green and Iridescent White color options. The phone is currently exclusive to Mexico with no words on global expansion yet.
