Samsung is yet to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable which are expected to get official in August. We have already come across the first leak about Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The report is coming from ETNews, a Korean publication, that talks about camera specs as well as sales targets for next year's foldables.
Starting with the sales target, Samsung is said to have set a goal of shipping 15 million units for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The number is 10 million units for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 for the second half of 2023 alone. The company is focusing heavily on the Flip model as it is expecting the compact model to account for 8 million units out of 10.
This is not surprising considering the Galaxy Z Flip is more appealing to buyers not only because of the pricing but also because of its form factor. The report further goes on to talk about some of the specifications of Samsung's foldables meant for the next year. It is said to make use of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship processor for both models.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is tipped to feature a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN3 primary sensor. It will have a 12-megapixel front camera but no words on whether there will be a dual selfie camera setup. The report does not offer details about Galaxy Z Flip 5 camera specifications. We will keep you posted as and when more details will surface.
