Nubia has debuted a new Android flagship Nubia Z40S Pro in China. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and is the cheapest smartphone to offer the processor. The company has focused a lot on camera performance and features as well. It has a dedicated slider that makes it convenient to record videos and click photos.
The Nubia Z40S Pro sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is a 10-bit panel with a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The choice of process is Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which we have mentioned in the beginning as well. There are multiple configuration variants featuring up to 18GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary Sony IMX787 sensor with f/1.6 aperture, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. It has a 16-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies and attending video calls. The phone is capable of shooting 4K videos at 120fps and 8K macro.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. It has a special variant that comes with 4,600mAh battery but with 120W fast charging. It will boot MyOS 12 based on Android 12. The Nubia Z40S Pro starts at CNY 3,399 for the 8GB/128GB model. It will cost CNY 4,499 for the 12GB/512GB configuration. If you are interested in the 120W variant, it is priced at CNY 4,299 and CNY 6,699 for 12GB/256GB and 18GB/1TB variants respectively.
