Honor has officially confirmed that reports about it exiting the Indian market are untrue. It offered clarification in the form of a statement shared with Gadgets360, an online publication. It assured that the company will continue its business operations and its development in the country.
The official statement from an Honor spokesperson reads,
“Honor is maintaining business operation[s] in India and will continue its development. The earlier news report that 'Honor officially announces its exit from the Indian market' is not correct."
A previous report claimed that Honor is all set to exit the Indian market despite profitability. The company made a good name for itself by releasing value-for-money smartphones, especially under the X and V series. One of the reasons that led many to believe the exit reports was that it has been over a year since Honor India tweeted last.
The official clarification suggests we may see Honor launching more products including smartphones, wearables, and notebooks in India. Its smartwatches and fitness trackers are already fan favorites at their respective price points. It most recently launched Honor X8 5G and Honor Tablet 8 in China. It is not confirmed yet but we may see these products make their way to India.
