Nothing launched its first Android phone named Nothing Phone (1) last month. It managed to attract buyers in good numbers and now as per a new report, the company is ready to release its second smartphone. The Mobile Indian has cited its sources to claim that the company has a 'Lite' version of the phone under work.
The alleged Nothing Phone (1) Lite will not be a direct successor of the original release from a few weeks ago. It will actually be the same phone with the same specifications but with a couple of differences. The first biggest change will be no Glyph Interface on the Lite version. It means there will not be any LEDs on the back panel and it will be a plain thing like all other phones.
The smartphone will miss out on wireless charging as well. It will come with the 42W fast charger but will support fast charging only up to 33W. It may even have a bigger 5,000mAh battery. These changes will help Nothing bring down the pricing of the smartphone. The report claims it will cost as low as INR 24,999 for the 6GB/128GB model.
As for the launch, it is expected to get official during the festive season in India which is in October. The company is said to run a special offer that will make the smartphone even more affordable. While all these claims do sound interesting, it is important to note that Nothing has denied the existence of any such smartphone. This is the reason we would suggest you take this leak with a pinch of salt for the time being. If there are any new developments or official announcements, we will keep you updated.
