Google Stadia is one of the easiest gaming services to use when it comes to livestreaming your gameplay. It offers native YouTube integration and does not require users to have dedicated hardware or software for the stream. It is now taking the livestreaming experience to next level by introducing a new feature and making a few improvements.
The new feature coming to Stadia's livestreaming capabilities is Party Stream. It is a feature that will let users create a party of up to 10 people. Each member of the party can choose to stream their own game which can then be watched by other members. While multiple users can stream multiple games, a viewer can watch only one stream at a time.
Party Stream will have all the commonly seen features like voice chat, group chat, and emoji reactions. A streamer will receive all the alerts like who has joined the stream, sent a new message, or even a reaction. This particular feature is meant for times when you want to stream only for your friends and not for everyone on YouTube.
If we talk about improvements to existing livestreaming functionality, Stadia has finally added support for switching games and devices in the middle of an ongoing stream. It previously required users to end a stream and start a new one whenever they wanted to play a different game or on a different device. It will show a new Resume Livestream option when you will move from one device to another.
All these changes and the new Party Stream feature have started to roll out for Stadia users. Google says these should become available to everyone by the end of this week.
