Samsung has officially debuted a new Galaxy Buddy series smartphone named Galaxy Buddy 2. It is currently available exclusively in South Korea but global expansion plans are unknown. The phone is packed with a mid-range smartphone and aimed at delivering value for money.
The Galaxy Buddy 2 sports a 6.6-inch Full HD+ (2408 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD notched display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor that brings 5G connectivity to the phone. There is 4GB of RAM and a single 128GB storage choice. It also has microSD card support for storage expansion.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary Samsung ISOCELL sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera on the device is an 8-megapixel sensor housed inside the notch. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
Other noteworthy features include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, and WiFi. The phone will boot One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. Samsung has priced the Galaxy Buddy 2 at KRW 399,300 (about $305) for the 4GB/128GB variant. The available color options include Deep Green, Light Blue, and Orange Copper.
