About three months ago, Oppo debuted the Reno 8 series featuring three 5G compatible models. It has now launched a new Reno 8 version which is limited to 4G LTE connectivity. The phone is essentially a toned version of the 5G model. There are a few differences in specifications and features that bring the price down.
The Oppo Reno 8 sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) display with a punch-hole. The panel offers up to a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with Adreno 610 GPU. There is a single 8GB RAM variant but it supports virtual RAM expansion where can get a total of up to13GB of RAM. It has 256GB of onboard storage with support for microSD cards.
There is a triple-camera module featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/3.3 aperture. The front camera on the phone is a 32-megapixel sensor housed inside the punch-hole. The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that should last at least a day with ease. It is supported by 33W fast charging to help you get a quick refill.
It will run ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. Other noteworthy features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Oppo Reno 8 is priced at IDR 49,99,000 (about $338) for the sole 8GB/256GB model. The color options include Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black.
