Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone Vivo Y22 in Indonesia. The phone is similar to the Vivo Y22s that debuted last month. Its main highlights include a gaming processor that should deliver a good performance. The phone has a splash waterproof design on the back.
The Vivo Y22 sports a 6.55-inch HD+ (1612 x 720 pixels) LCD display with a dotted notch. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and a peak brightness of 530 nits. The choice of processor is MediaTek Helio G85 and coupled with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. The storage options include 64GB and 128GB. There is Extended RAM 2.0 feature where up to 8GB of storage space can be utilized as virtual RAM.
The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and housed inside the notch. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It will ship with Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.
Vivo has priced the Vivo Y22 at VND 2,399,000 (about $161) for the 4GB/64GB variant. There are no details about the 6GB/128GB configuration variant. Its color options include Summer Cyan, Metaverse Green, and Starlit Blue.
