Google has confirmed it will launch Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch at an event on October 6th. The event is scheduled exactly one month after Apple's Far Out event meant for releasing new iPhone and Apple Watch models. The announcement reveals we will also see new smart home devices in the Nest lineup.
All these new devices will go on sale on the same day as the launch event. These will be available for purchase via Google Store's website and physical Google Stores in the New York City area. The event will be live streamed on YouTube for anyone to join and follow the event in real time. The stream will also be available through the Google Store website for users in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
We got an official preview of the Pixel 7 smartphones and Pixel Watch about four months ago. The next month's launch event will reveal all the details about these products including pricing and availability. The preview event only offered a glimpse of what to expect from the next-gen devices when they will become available.
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be powered by the Tensor G2 processor. It will be a direct successor to the original Tensor chip debuted by Google last year. There will be camera improvements and even the front camera is said to support 4K video recording. We can expect to come across more details as we will get closer to the event.
